Kevin has very eclectic musical interests.  He grew up listening to his parents’ big band records along with his brothers’ recordings of the Beatles, Santana, and The Who.  He took up the alto sax in the fifth grade and played it through high school in all the school bands.  He started playing the acoustic guitar in junior high and began writing songs at age sixteen.  He quit playing the sax after his first year of college.  However, at the urging of his church worship leader, he took up the alto sax again in 1995.  He had always wanted to own a tenor sax after playing one in a quartet in college.  He finally got a tenor horn two years ago and has really enjoyed it.  Kevin joined MB in 1991.  He has played in various church praise bands for 30 years.
